Ingredients
 30 g Toor dal (split pigeon peas)
 5 g Tamarind pulp
 100 g Mixed vegetables (carrot, drumstick, beans, etc.)
 50 g Tomato (chopped)
 30 g Onion (chopped)
 5 g Sambar powder
 1 g Mustard seeds
 2 g Curry leaves
 5 g Oil (preferably coconut or sesame)
 1 g Turmeric powder
 1 pinch Salt
 300 ml Water
Directions

Wash and cook toor dal with turmeric powder and 200 ml water until soft. Mash it slightly.

Boil vegetables in a separate pot with tamarind pulp and salt until tender.

Add sambar powder and cooked dal to the vegetable mixture. Simmer for 5-7 minutes.

Heat oil in a small pan, add mustard seeds, curry leaves, and pour the tempering over the sambar.

Serve hot with rice or enjoy as a soup.
