Simple recipe for Bengal Gram Dal with Spinach for one person diet
Wash and soak the Bengal gram dal for 30 minutes.
Cook the dal with turmeric and water until soft (pressure cook for 5–6 whistles or boil until tender).
Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, and let them splutter.
Add onion, and green chili. Saute until golden brown.
Add tomatoes and cook until soft.
Add spinach and cook until wilted.
Combine the spinach mixture with the cooked dal, simmer for 5–7 minutes.
