Ingredients
 40 g Whole wheat flour
 2 pinches Salt
 40 g Lean chicken breast
 15 g Carrot, grated
 15 g Cabbage, finely shredded
 10 g Onion, finely chopped
 1 g Garlic
 1 g Ginger
 1 g Green Chili
 2 ml Soy sauce
 1 pinch Black pepper
 2 g Fresh coriander

Prepare the Dough:

  • In a bowl, mix whole wheat flour with a pinch of salt.
  • Gradually add water and knead into a soft, smooth dough.
  • Cover with a damp cloth and set aside for 10-15 minutes.

Prepare the Filling:

  • In a bowl, combine minced chicken, grated carrot, shredded cabbage, chopped onion, garlic, ginger, green chili (if using), soy sauce, salt, black pepper, and fresh coriander.
  • Mix everything well to make a well-seasoned filling.

Assemble the Momos:

  • Divide the dough into five equal portions and roll each into a small, thin circle.
  • Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each circle.
  • Fold and pleat the edges to form a tight seal, shaping into half-moons or purses.

Steam:

  • Place the momos in a steamer lined with parchment paper or a light oil coating. Steam for 10-12 minutes, until the dough is cooked, and the filling is tender.
